'Chandretten evdeya' Malayalam movie: Review

A good one time Watcable family comedy entertainer with some family values and a perfect message.

Dileep is back with After a long gap with many flops and unwanted worst roles. Chandretten evdeya directed by Sidharth Bharathan is a comedy family entertainer. Dileep is so much different from all other same roles and is back with a relaxed and natural acting. The movie is produced by the trio Sameer Thahir, Shyju Khalid and Ashiq Usman.

Coming to the technical side, Script is penned by Santhosh Echikkanam, too was good with some good comedies even though there were several  useless comedies. Cinematography by Shyju Khalid is done brilliantly and makes the movie a visual treat.  the songs were nice, especially 'Vasanthamallike' a beautiful song, even after the movie audience were singing it while coming out the theatre. 

Story has nothing new to convey, It's the same Cliche story of a man having multiple affairs which have been taken more than 100movies in Mollywood itself, but it's taken in a way which does not make us bored. Coming to the cast, Dileep is some what awesome after a long gap. Anusree as usual, a overcaring wife done beautifully. Namitha Pramod had done a beautiful gorgeous matured role in this movie. And all others KPAC Lalitha,Cheben Vinod, Vinayakan, Suraj Venjaramoodu,  Saju Navodaya had  acted nicely. Soubin Shahir(fame annayum rasulum) had made the audience laugh with more beautiful comedies than everyone.

Plot is about a married couple Chandra Mohan (Dileep) and Anusree(Sushma) and their son. On a family trip to Thanjavoor they met a astrologer who tells them Chandra Mohan's past that 1000 years ago he was a writer In a kingdom named Velu and he Falls in love with a dancer and their love won't complete. Chandra Mohan believes that the astrologers story and waits for the vasanthamalika to come to his life, unfortunately geethanjali (Namitha Pramod) arrives and the story goes by around 3 characters.

Chandrettan’s plot revolves mainly around 3 characters played by Dileep as , Anusree as Sushma and Namitha Pramod as Geethanjali. Anusree plays the wife character of Chandra Mohan who is a kind of possessive about her husband. And in one of their family tour to Thanchavoor they happened to see an astrologer who tells them about the previous birth of Chandrettan and tells them that the love of his previous birth named Vasantha Mallika will come to him this birth also. Then the story takes a very interesting turn as Chandramohan thinks about it constantly and Namitha Pramod’s character named Geethanjali come across his life who is a dancer just as Vasantha Mallika was 1000 years ago.

Verdict: A beautiful comedy family entertainer.
Don't go with a hope of any new story or twists rather go for a simple clean family movie to enjoy and laugh out loudly. The movie has some great family values and a perfect message.
