‘A Friday’ is a short film about a real Malayalam film. Actually
this is fiction film, in this some incidents are true and some are fiction. It
is a new experience and it was a perfect flick. ‘A Friday’ is about super hit Malayalam
movie ‘Traffic’ which was released in 2011. Traffic is considered as the
beginning of the movies of Malayalam New Wave.
The movie shows a day of a director whose film is releasing
at same day, the film is ‘Traffic’. And it shows the struggling of a new director
with a non-superstar film for releasing. At the same time it shows a team of
fans of a superstar who unfortunately get into the non-superstar film. In this
the team could shows the mind-set of Mollywood viewers.
The short ‘Big’ film directed by M.C.Jithin. Main role lead by Sanju Sivram (1983 fame) Written by
M.C.Jithin, Ritwik Baiju and Athul Ramachandran. DOP is Alex and Sijoy. The team
did a great job. We will be in the same
mood when we watched traffic for the first time.
The short film published on 29 Sep 2014 in YouTube. And it has about 52 k views. 423 likes and only 10 dislikes till now. Actually it deserves more popularity among short films.
